Quest for Purity
April 15th and April 22nd
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Amy McLean will be training our parents on how to teach their children on issues about abstinence, sexuality, and pornography. With over 20 years of teaching experience under her belt in the private and public charter school system and also the home school community, Amy has developed a passion for kids and marriage. While a coach at Faith Christian High School, Amy and her husband Brad discovered their track and field kids needed to see healthy marriages modeled. Thus began Amy’s desire to train up husbands and wives and not athletes, students, musicians, actors, or performers. Amy saw first-hand the dangers of media and the influence of the world on teenagers and began a quest to educate kids on why abstinence and purity are so important. Living in community with others gave Amy and Brad a vision for modeling a healthy, Godly marriage and they continue to encourage others to make their marriage a priority.
Growing up in a home with a doctor for a dad and a nurse for a mom, Amy has never been shy talking to kids about sex, abstinence or purity. As a high school and middle school Biology teacher, she has a knack for being candid and uses humor to talk about a subject that most people are embarrassed to talk about.
Amy is a frequent speaker at home school groups, high school and youth groups, MOPs groups and mom’s coffees where she teaches about sexuality from a Godly and scientific perspective.
